小西ゼミ4回生の射場慶太と申します。
今回は、私が留学したきっかけや所感についてお話したいと思います。
私は、現在韓国の西江大学に交換留学をしています。この大学を選んだ理由は、大きく分けて2つ理由があります。
1つ目は、アジアの環境下で,ビジネスと政治を学んでみたかったからです。そこで、隣国である韓国の大学で、関連する科目を履修して勉強しています。
2つ目の理由は、イエズス会によって設立された大学であり、私のバックグラウンドから学校の文化に興味を持ったからです。
実際に、現地で過ごしていますが、私の選択は間違いなかったと感じています。
ここから、私が現地で過ごす中で感じたことについてお話したいと思います。
私が、感じたことは、「基本は同じ」ということです。具体的には、目標を持って健康に気遣い生活を送ることや、人と誠意をもって関わることなどです。
至極当たりまえのことなのですが、現地に来るまで、恥ずかしながらこれらの重要性に私は気づけていませんでした。
ルームメイトとの生活、留学生活を通して、如何に自分自身がこれらのことを軽視して、出来ていなかったのかを強く感じさせられています。日本と近い国に留学しているからこそ、日本でやっていた自分自身の習慣の過ちを別視点から見直すことが出来る良い経験を多く積むことが出来ているのだと思っています。
これらのことから、残り少ない大学生活を噛みしめながら過ごすと共に、卒業後は、ゼミで学んだこと、留学先で学んだ気づきを活かして活躍したいと考えています。

My name is Keita Iba, a fourth-year student in Konishi Seminar.
In this time, I would like to talk about my reasons for studying abroad and my impressions of it.
I am currently an exchange student at Sogang University in South Korea.
The reason why I chose this university can be divided into two main reasons.
Firstly, I wanted to study business and politics in Asian surroundings. Therefore, I am taking related courses at a university in South Korea, a neighboring country.
Secondly, the university was founded by the Society of Jesuits, and from my background, I was interested in the school's culture.
I feel that I made the right choice through Korean life.
From here, I would like to talk about what I felt.
What I felt is that "the basics are the same”. Specifically, it is important to live a healthy life with a target in mind, and to interact with people with sincerity.
These are quite obvious, but I am quite embarrassed to admit that I did not realize the importance of these things until I moved here.
Living with roommates and studying abroad has made me realize how much I have neglected these things and how little I have been able to do. I believe studying abroad in a country so close to Japan has allowed me to gain many good experiences that have enabled me to look at the mistakes of my own habits that I used to make in Japan from a different perspective.
For these reasons, I would like to spend my limited remaining time, and after graduation, I would like to utilize what I have learned in the seminar and the insights I have gained in my study abroad experience.
