皆様お久しぶりです。小西ゼミ4年の田中慧蓮（たなかえれん）です。
私は今年の春から社会人1年目を迎えます。私は自分と向き合うことで、大学時代に「人生の原点」を作ることが出来たと感じています。今回のブログではそんな「私の原点」について、私の就職活動を基にお伝えさせていただきます。
就職活動において私が大きく直面した壁、それが自己分析でした。この自己分析こそが、私が自身と向き合うことにおいて不可欠でした。私が自己分析を始めたのは、大学2年生の終わりごろから、自分の「憧れ」の職業と自分の「進路」を重ねてみてしまい、就職活動が進むにつれ違和感を覚えたからです。そこで1・2年次に履修していたハンズオン・ラーニングセンターの講義内容を参考に、自分の興味のあること“want”、自分ができること“can”、そして「いつか日中両国の架け橋になる」という自分の夢に向かって達成しなければならないこと“must”の3つを洗い出しました。また、中学生から大学生のうちに取り組んできた活動や、身に着けた資格や強みなどのスキルと照らし合わせたことで、真の自己分析結果にたどり着きました。そこからさらにどういった業界・業種に進みたいかを絞り出しながら、最終的に一緒に絞り込むまで約100社の企業を受け、その中から真の分析結果に一番近い場所を比較検討し、ご縁のあった就職先へと進路が決定しました。
私の大学生活の4年間は、毎年異なる新しい挑戦への連続でした。大学1年目はミスインターナショナル日本大会への出場、 2年目は関西学院大学オリジナルマイボトルの制作、3年目はボランティアサークルCLUB GEORDIEの副代表、そして4年目は更なる意欲的なゼミ活動と将来の進路に向けた準備を行いました。この4年間の全てが自己分析のベースとなって私の就職活動の軸に盛り込まれており、4月から始まる新しい生活へと導いてくれました。
この4年間小西先生やゼミ生をはじめたくさんの方々に支えられました。本当にありがとうございました。4月からの新生活では、ゼミ生のみんなはそれぞれの新天地で、そして小西先生、小西ゼミOBOGの方々にとっても幸多き1年となるよう心からお祈り申し上げます。
Hello, everyone. My name is Ellen Tanaka, a fourth-year student at Konishi Seminar.
I will be entering my first year as a working member this spring. I feel that I was able to create a "starting point of my life" during my college years by confronting myself. In this blog, I would like to share my "starting point" based on my job-hunting activities.
The biggest obstacle I faced in my job search was self-analysis. This self-analysis was essential for me to face myself. I began self-analysis around the end of my second year of university, when I began to overlap my "dream job" with my "career path," and as my job-hunting activities progressed, I felt a sense of discomfort. I then referred to the lectures of the Hands-on Learning Center, which I had taken in my first and second years of college and decided that I "wanted" what I was interested in, "could" what I could do, and "would" to "someday become a bridge between Japan and China". In addition, I identified three things that I "must" achieve toward my dream of "building a bridge between Japan and China someday. In addition, we compared our skills with the activities we had engaged in from junior high school through college, and the qualifications and strengths we had acquired, to arrive at the results of a true self-analysis. From there, we further narrowed down the industries and sectors in which I wanted to work, and compared and examined the places that were closest to the results of my true analysis from among approximately 100 companies until we finally narrowed it down together and decided on a place of employment with which I had a connection.
My four years of college life were a series of new challenges, each year different from the last. In my first year of college, I participated in the Miss International Japan pageant; in my second year, I created Kwansei Gakuin University's original My Bottle; in my third year, I was vice president of the volunteer circle CLUB GEORDIE; and in my fourth year, I was even more ambitious in my seminar activities and preparing for my future career path. All of these four years were incorporated into the axis of my job search as the basis for my self-analysis, leading me to a new life starting in April.
I have been supported by many people over the past four years, including Prof. Naomi and the seminar students. I sincerely wish all the seminar students a happy new year in their new lives starting in April, as well as for Prof. Naomi and the Konishi Seminar OBOG members.
