小西ゼミ3年生の礒井沙希と申します。
今回は、この夏休みに私が注力したオープンキャンパスの運営を通して感じたことを述べようと思います。
私は関西学院大学総合政策学部傘下学生団体SCSに所属をし、副代表を務めています。この”SCS”というのは、”Student & Campus Supporters”の略です。主に総合政策学部生の学校生活を支えたり、高校生へオープンキャンパスを運営したりしています。いわゆる高校の生徒会のようなものです。
そんなSCSにとっての一大イベントは、オープンキャンパスです！
今年は、8月11日に神戸三田キャンパスで開催され、理工学部傘下学生団体Mainsと全ての企画運営を合同で行いました！
オープンキャンパスを通して、私は、中心で動いている2年生をサポートすることは難しいことであると感じました。企画立案の準備では、一緒に会議に参加し、意見が出ないときにヒントを出したり、方向性が間違っていないか確認したりしました。2年生の意見も受け入れながら、修正する点を指摘するというバランスを取ることが難しく、私の立場を改めて考えることもありました。リハーサルや本番では、2年生が全体に対して指示を出せているかということを見ました。サポート役である為、直接全体に指示を出すことを避けていたので、とてもじれったい気持ちになりました。しかし、2年生が成長する機会をしっかりと用意することが先輩の役目であると思い、気持ちを抑えながら、2年生に指示を出すタイミングなどを伝えました。
5月から活動をしてきて、難しいと感じたサポート役ですが、2年生が成長する姿を一番近くで見ることが出来ました。それは、私にとって一番のやりがいを感じました。
オープンキャンパス全体としては、多くの高校生や保護者の方に来場していただき、私たちの企画を楽しんでいただきました。また、事務室の方々にも企画や大学生の対応を褒めていただきました。一生懸命やった分、とても楽しく、忘れられない夏の思い出になりました！！
この経験は今後のゼミ活動ではもちろんのこと、社会で活かすことのできるスキルです。これからも、ゼミやSCSを通じてこのようなスキルを磨いていこうと思います！

My name is Saki Shoi, a third-year student in the Konishi Seminar.
This time, I would like to describe what I felt through the operation of the Open Campus, which I focused on this summer vacation.
I belong to SCS, a student organization affiliated with Kwansei Gakuin University's School of Policy Studies, and serve as Vice President. "SCS" stands for "Student & Campus Supporters". We mainly support the school life of the students of the School of Policy Studies and operate an Open Campus for high school students. It's like a high school student council.
One of the major events for SCS was the Kobe Sanda Campus Open Campus. It was held on August 11th! This year, we held all the projects jointly with Mains, a student organization affiliated with the School of Science and Technology!
Through the open campus, I felt that it was difficult to support the second-year students who are taking a leading role. In preparation for the planning, I participated in meetings together and gave ideas when there was no opinion, and confirmed whether the direction was wrong. It was difficult to strike a balance between accepting the opinions of the second-year students and pointing out points to be improved, and there were times when I reconsidered my position. In rehearsals and performances, I looked at whether the second-year students were able to give instructions to the whole group. Because I was in a support role, I avoided giving instructions directly to the whole group, so I felt very uncomfortable. However, I thought that it was the role of the seniors to prepare opportunities for the second-year students to grow, so I kept my feelings in check and told them when to give instructions to the second-year students. Again, it was difficult to strike a balance between how far I could convey what I wanted to convey and where I would have people think for themselves.
We have been active since May, and although I felt that it was difficult to play a supporting role, I was able to see the second-year students grow up the closest. That was the most rewarding thing for me.
The Open Campus was visited by many high school students and their parents, and they enjoyed our project. In addition, the people in the office also praised the planning and the response of the university students. Because I worked hard, it was a lot of fun and it became an unforgettable summer memory!!
This experience is a skill that can be utilized not only in future seminar activities but also in society. I will continue to hone these skills through seminars and SCS!
