①名前：寺本 壮志朗（テラモト ソウジロウ）
②出身地：福岡県
③趣味：サッカー・漫画を読むこと・ゲーム
④座右の銘：「縁有難く限りなし」
私はこれまでに、縁に恵まれた奇跡の人生を歩んできました。例えば、小学四年生の時です。当時私は、地元の少年サッカー団に所属しており、近くの公園でよく自主練習をしていました。いつものように練習していると、見知らぬ男性から声をかけられ、サッカーを教わりました。別れ際に、「ぜひ私のチームに来てください」と言ってくれたその男性が、中学時代のクラブチームの監督です。あの時、自分が練習していなければ、あの時、監督に出会わなければ、今の自分はいません。私はこれからも出会いの一つ一つを大切にしていきたいと思っています。
⑤ゼミを通しての目標
ゼミを通して、私は計画性を身に着けたいと考えています。私は、いつも行き当たりばったりで学校の課題などをやってきていました。しかし今後は学校のことだけではなく、就職活動も本格的に始動するので、今までのやり方だと、どちらかが崩れてしまうと危惧しています。ゼミのメンバーには、普通の学生の授業に加えて、学校が提供するプログラムに率先して取り組んでいる人や、日々の勉強に努めて、成績がトップの人もいます。私は、一年遅れて入学してきたほど、要領の悪い人間ですが、効率的、計画的に物事を進めているゼミ生とともに成長していきたいです。
⑥研究テーマ
現在、私が考えている研究テーマは、「日本の労働環境の課題と解決策を労働先進国ドイツとの比較を交えて考える」というものです。私が日本の労働環境に興味を持ち始めたのは、高橋幸美氏と川人博氏による「過労死ゼロの社会を」という著書を読んだときでした。これから自分も希望を持って入社しても、企業から物のような扱いをされる可能性があることを考えると他人事ではないと思い、現在の日本の労働環境を知る必要があると考えました。また、ドイツとの比較を選んだ理由は、日本と同様に第二次世界大戦の敗戦国であり、G7のメンバーであるという共通点を持つ一方、「働く」ことへの意識が全く異なるからです。ドイツとの比較を通じて、日本の労働環境の改善を実現するために研究したいと思います。
次回の記事では、そんな壮志朗がアフリカのとある国で経験した、貴重な出来事について紹介させていただきます。

I live a miracle life with happier encounters. One of the most important encounters for me happened when I was in 4th year of elementary school. I belonged to a local football club at that time. One day I practiced soccer there as always, and a stranger talked to me and taught me how to play soccer. On parting, he invited me to his soccer team. Surprisingly, he was the coach of a soccer club that I belonged to when I was a junior high school student. If I had not practiced soccer and met him there, I wouldn’t be who I am now. I will continue to cherish each and every encounter.
⑤Goals through the seminar
Through the seminar, I will improve my weakness, a lack of planning. I always finish my assignments as a temporary measure. However, from now on, I need to manage both school assignments and job-hunting. Therefore, if I do not change the conventional way of finishing my homework, either of those activities will end in failure. I have great seminar members. Some members are taking part in additional programs that are held by my school in addition to normal classes. Others have high grades because of their hard work. I am not such a clever person as I entered my university a year’s delay. But, I want to improve my weakness with high level seminar members who work on assignments efficiently and systematically.
⑥Research Topic
My theme of study is "The problems and solutions of the Japanese work environment from a comparative perspective with Germany." I have been interested in it because I read a book named “Society of Zero Death from Overwork,” published by Yukie Takahashi and Hiroshi Kawahito. I believe that it is not just someone else’s business to be treated like a tool by a company even though I join the company with hope for the future. Therefore, I feel it is necessary to know the Japanese working situation and to solve some problems. I will compare Japan and Germany because Germany has similarities to us: a defeated country of WWⅡ and one of the G7 countries. However, German cognition for working is different from us. I want to study for the realization of a better working environment by comparing the two countries that have both similarities and differences.
In the next article, we will introduce his unforgettable experience in some country in Africa.
