本日も、前回に引き続き、2023年度3回生の自己紹介をさせていただきます！

①名前：鹿子生由依(かこお ゆい)
②福岡県八女市
③趣味:ダンス、カフェ巡り、美術館巡り
④座右の銘:「一期一会」
一生に一度の出会い、という意味で少しありきたりな言葉かもしれませんが、実はこの言葉にはもっと深い意味があります。私は中学高校時代に茶道部に所属していて、お茶の先生から「一期一会」の味わい深さを教えてもらいました。この言葉はもともと茶道の言葉で、たとえ同じ人と何度もお茶会でご一緒する機会があっても、その茶会はたった一度だけ。たとえ毎日顔を合わせう家族や友達であっても、二度と同じ日や機会は来ません。「めったに会えない人でも毎日会える人でも、関わってくれる全ての人を大切に、日々を過ごそう」と思わせてくれる言葉です。
迷った時に道を示してくれる先生、なんだかんだ協力的な家族、いつも一緒に頑張ってくれる友人など、今までずっと「人」に恵まれてきたなと感じます。特に、総合政策学部の友人は皆、何かしら自分のやりたいことにひたむきに努力している人が多く、出会えてよかったと心から思います。関わってくださる人への感謝の気持ちを忘れない、という意味でも大切にしている言葉です。
⑤ゼミを通しての目標
私はゼミを通して、
・効果的な合意形成のスキルを向上させる
・プレゼンテーション能力を向上させる
ことが目標です。
１つ目の「効果的な合意形成のスキルを向上させる」という目標に関しては、今までグループワークをしてきた中で合意形成の難しさを感じる機会がありました。「妥協する」ことと「合意形成」は別物だと思います。ビジネスコンテストやＰＣＭ分析の際には、ただ自分の考えを伝えるだけではなく、「グループにとってベストな合意は何なのか」を意識してスキルを磨いていきたいです。
2つ目の「プレゼンテーション能力を向上させる」という目標に関しては、企業分析の際に自分の調べた内容や伝えたいことを効果的に聞き手に届けるために、分かりやすいプレゼンを作成することの重要性を感じ、意識するようになりました。小西ゼミの先輩方のつくるプレゼンは分かりやすくてレベルが高いので、プレゼンを行う機会1回1回を大切に、スキルを磨いていきたいと思います。
⑥将来の夢
「国連職員になって途上国の貧困のサイクルを断ち切ること」
中学3年生の頃に受けた社会の授業で、先生がたまたま見せてくれた国連のSDGsの動画を見た瞬間「絶対これだ」と思い、そこから国際協力の世界に飛び込みました。その時からずっと、「SDGsの達成に貢献すること」が、私自身の軸になっています。国際問題にアプローチする手段は様々ありますが、大学生になってからは特にソーシャルビジネスにフォーカスしてきました。ビジネスは、ボランティアのような一度きりの支援ではなく、現地の人を巻き込んで経済の循環を生み出すことができるからです。とはいえ、やはり利益と社会問題の解決を両立させることの難しさや、今の自分には何もできていないもやもやを感じていました。そんな時、基礎ゼミの先生が背中を推してくださり、学部生のうちは行くことはできないだろうと諦めていたUNV(united natons volunteer)に挑戦しました。そして、秋学期からバンコクのUNDPにyouth civic engagement というポジションで派遣されることになりました。このポジションでは、若者議会を開催したりプラットフォームの運営を通してアジア太平洋地域のyouth empowerment を促進することがミッションです。
もちろん、国連の機能にも制限や問題はあるので、国連がすべてだとは思っていません。まだ学部生の私にできることは限られていること、本当の意味で「貢献する」ことがいかに難しいかも重々分かっています。それでも、ずっと憧れていた国際機関で働くということは私にとって大きなチャンスです。現地で、多様性溢れる環境で働くことを考えたらわくわくが止まりません。「SDGsの達成に貢献する」という軸であり目標を、全力で叶える半年間にします。
そしていつかは正式に国連職員になり、途上国の貧困サイクルを断ち切るお手伝いができるよう、精進し続けたいと思います。

I’m Manaka Yamaguchi, a third-year student who is in charge of blogging at Konishi seminar.
Today, we continuingly introduce the third-year seminar students of this year.

④Motto:Once in a life-tme chance
It may be a bit cliched, meaning a once-in-a-lifetime encounter, but actually it has a deeper meaning. I was a member of the tea ceremony club during my junior and senior high school years, and my teacher taught me how to appreciate "once-in-a-lifetime chance. This phrase originally comes from the tea ceremony, and even if we have the opportunity to meet the same person many times at a tea ceremony, that is only one time. Even if it is the person that you see everyday, the same occasion will never come again. These words remind me to cherish each day, no matter how seldom we see each other or how often we see each other.
I feel that I have been blessed with "people" all my life, such as teachers who show me the way when I am lost, family members who are very supportive, and friends who always do their best together. In particular, my friends in the Policy Studies Department are all working hard at what they want to do, and I am truly glad to have met them. I am truly glad to have had the opportunity to meet them. I keep this word in my mind as a reminder to be grateful to those who are involved in my life.
⑤Goals through the seminar
Through the seminar, I will,
To become a professional in effective consensus building
To improve the ability of presentation
Regarding the first goal, consensus building, I have had opportunities to experience the difficulty of consensus building through group work. I think "compromise" and "consensus building" are two different things. I would like to be aware of this during VISICON and PCM analysis and hone my skills.
Regarding the second presentation, I felt the importance of creating an easy-to-read and easy-to-understand presentation in order to effectively deliver to the audience what I have researched and what I want to convey during the company analysis. The presentations made by the senior members of the Konishi Seminar are easy to understand and of a high level, so I would like to polish my presentation skills by cherishing each and every opportunity to give a presentation.
⑥Dream for the future
"To become a UN official and break the cycle of poverty in developing countries."
When I saw a video of the United Nations SDGs in my junior high school third grade social studies class, I knew that this was the one for me. I jumped into the world of international cooperation, and "contributing to the achievement of the SDGs" has become my personal axis. There are many ways to approach international issues, but since I became a university student, I have especially focused on social business. This is because business is not a one-time support activity, such as volunteering, but can involve local people and create an economic cycle. However, I still felt the difficulty of balancing profit and solving social problems, and also felt a sense of frustration that I was not able to do anything at the moment. I was sent to the UNDP in Bangkok in the fall semester. The mission of this position is to promote youth empowerment in the Asia-Pacific region by organizing youth congresses and managing platforms.
Of course, I don't think the UN is the end-all and be-all as there are limitations and problems in the functioning of the UN. As an undergraduate student, I know that what I can do is limited, and I am also well aware of how difficult it is to "contribute" in the true sense of the word. Still, working for an international organization is a great opportunity for me, something I have always wanted to do. I can't stop thinking about working there, in an environment full of diversity, and I can't stop getting excited. I will do my best to fulfill my goal of "contributing to the achievement of the SDGs" in the next six months.
And one day, I would like to continue to devote myself to becoming an official UN employee and helping to break the cycle of poverty in developing countries.
In the next article, we would like to introduce myself to Rika Nakajima, who looks good with any hair color and is fashionable.
