本日は、2022年度小西ゼミ3回生のメンバーをご紹介させていただきます！

これはリンカーンが発した言葉であり、この言葉はどんなに困難な状況でもそれをやり遂げる強い意志さえあれば必ず乗り越えられるという希望と勇気を私に与えてくれます。
私は昔から非常に心配性で、何をするにも自分の行動に自信がなく、壁にぶつかると投げ出したくなることが幾度となくありました。しかし、この言葉に出会ってからは自分のなりたい姿や叶えたい目標に対して強い意志を持って取り組んでいればどんな形であれ自己成長に繋がり、次への道が開けていくと考えるようになりました。
現在も、自身の目標に向けて強い意志を持ち、あらゆることに挑戦すること、そして継続し続けることを常に心に留めて行動しています。
⑤ゼミを通しての目標
私はゼミを通して、自分の意見を上手く言語化し、周囲に伝える力を向上させたいと考えています。今まで、私は良くも悪くも自分の思いや考えを正直に伝えられる人間だと思っていました。しかし、実際にゼミでグループワークを経験してみると、自分の考えを上手く言語化し伝える力を持った他のゼミ生の凄さに圧倒されます。その際、私は思うように自分の意見をまとめられず、相手に伝えられていないと気付きました。
振り返ってみると、私自身大学生活において様々な知識や考え方をインプットする機会は多かったですが、学んだものや自分の考えをアウトプットする機会が少なかったように思います。小西ゼミには、しっかりとした考えを持ち、お互いに刺激し合い、成長できるアウトプットの場が整っていると感じます。そのため、ゼミでは主に自分の考えを言語化し、上手く相手に伝える力の向上に注力したいです。
⑥研究テーマ
私は、発展途上国における航空インフラ分野での国際協力の在り方とその有効性について研究したいと考えています。きっかけは、ポールコリアの著書「最底辺の10億人」を読んだことです。その本から、貧困国が発展できない原因として「内陸国の罠」があると学びました。周囲を陸地に囲まれている国々は輸送コストが高く、海岸に辿り着くまでに通る周辺国の経済状況に影響されてしまう現状があります。読了後、私は陸運や海運よりも航空輸送がより有効的であると考えました。しかし、航空分野での国際協力として途上国の空港建設が勧められている現状があるにも関わらず、航空事業の規模が極めて小さく機能していないことで上手く活用されず経済発展に繋がらなかった例もあります。そのため、私は世界の発展途上国における航空インフラの歴史や現状の課題を踏まえ、航空インフラ分野での国際協力は途上国の発展に効果を持つのか。また、どのような支援方法が途上国にとって最も好ましいのかを検討していきたいと思います。

This time, we would like to introduce a third-year seminar student of this year!

④Motto: “Where there is a will, there is a way”
This is a famous Lincoln phrase, and I learned about it when I read a book. This phrase gives me hope and courage that no matter how difficult a situation is, if I have a strong will to carry it out, I will definitely overcome it.
I've always been so anxious that I've never been confident in what I'm doing, and when I hit a wall, I often want to give up. However, after I came across this phrase, I came to believe that if I work with a strong will toward what I want to be and the goals I want to achieve, it will lead to self-growth in any form and open the way to the next.
Even now, I am always conscious of being strong in my own direction, challenging everything, and continuing.
⑤Goals thorough seminar
Through seminars, I would like to improve my ability to tell my opinions well and convey them to those around me. Until now, I thought I was a person who could honestly express my thoughts and ideas, for better or for worse. However, when I actually experienced group work in a seminar, I was overwhelmed by the awesomeness of other seminar students who had solid ideas and the ability to verbalize and communicate them well, and I realized that I could not summarize my opinions as I wanted and that I was not being able to convey them to others.
In retrospect, I myself had many opportunities to input various knowledge and ways of thinking in my university life, but I think that there were few opportunities to output what I learned and my own ideas. I feel that Konishi Seminar has a place for output where people can have solid ideas, stimulate each other, and grow. Therefore, in seminars, I would like to focus mainly on improving output skills.
⑥Research Topic
I would like to study the modalities and effectiveness of international cooperation in the field of aviation infrastructure in developing countries. It all started when I read Paul Collier's book "The Bottom Billion." From this book, I learned that the "landlocked country trap" is the reason why poor countries cannot develop, and that countries surrounded by land have high transportation costs and are affected by the economic situation of neighboring countries that pass by the time they reach the coast.
From there, I thought air transport would be more effective than land or sea. However, while the construction of airports in developing countries is currently being promoted as international cooperation in the field of aviation, there are cases where the scale of the aviation business is extremely small and does not function, so it is not utilized well and has not led to economic development.
Therefore, based on the history of aviation infrastructure in developing countries around the world and the current issues, I wonder whether international cooperation in the field of aviation infrastructure will have an effect on the development of developing countries. In addition, I would like to consider what kind of assistance methods are most desirable for developing countries.
