今回は、小西ゼミ３年の西田千尋が担当させていただきます。
突然ですが、皆さんは、世界経済フォーラムが毎年出している『ジェンダーギャップ指数』知っていますか？
私は、この指数を大学２年の時に知りました。
その中で、日本は、149カ国中110位！！！
私は、この数字に衝撃を受けました。
女性も働いている人が増えてきており、女性の議員や社長も当たり前になりつつあります。しかし、日本では、ジェンダー格差が残っている現実がこの数字に表れていると思っています。
日本は、世界から見たらまだまだジェンダー途上国と言えます。
そこで、今回は、私のバックグラウンドから、なぜ私がジェンダー問題に興味を持つようになったか、そして今行なっている活動についてお話したいと思います。
これまでは、私は、社会問題を解決し、発展途上国を助けたいと思いがありました。そこで、貧困や飢餓で苦しんでいる貧しい子たちを救うために国連やNGOで働きたいという夢がありました。
しかし、２年になってジェンダー問題に関する情報収集をしていました。ジェンダーギャップ指数を知りました。
他の発展途上国の問題よりジェンダー格差がある日本を変えないといけないと思うようになりました。また、私は、母子家庭で育っているので、女性の経済力や女性の貧困について理解はしています。
それから、私のやりたいことは大きく変化し、日本の女性活躍推進やジェンダーに関して様々な取り組みを団体のイベントに参加をするようになりました。
今は、所属している学生団体の中で、女性のリーダーを輩出するプログラムの企画と運営を行っています。
日本の固定概念である「日本では、男性は外で働き、女性は家庭を守る」の風潮が依然として残っている。
私たち若者は、過去は変えることができないけど、未来は自分たちの手で変えることができると考えています。
だから、私は、女子大生にもっと自信を持って欲しいし、自分のやりたいことをやり通して欲しいと思っています。
年々、女性活躍や法整備がなされている中、世界から見ると、まだまだな途上段階である日本。
私１人の力だとなかなか変革は難しいですが、様々な形で女性に働きかけることによって、少しでも影響を与えることができればと思います。

It's sudden, does everyone know the "gender gap index" which is reported World Economic Forum every year?
I knew this index when I was a 2ndgrade at a university.
Japan is about 110 out of 149 countries!
I received an impact in this number.
There are a lot of the working lady, and female councilor and president are becoming proper. But I think the actuality by which the gender differential is still left shows in this number in Japan.
Japan is judged from the world, it can still be said a gender developing country.
So, and I'd like to talk about the activity that I'm doing now to why I have an interest in a gender problem from my background this time.
I'd like to solve social problem and help developing country. So, I had the dream which would like to work for UN and NGO to help the poor children who suffer from poverty and hunger.
But, I collected information about gender problem seriously at 2ndgrade. I knew the gender gap index.
I think I have to solve the gender differential problem in Japan than other developing countries problem. In addition, I'm growing up by a fatherless family, so I understand about the financial power of the lady and female poverty.
And I changed what I wanted to do greatly, and I participated various events which about Japanese female achievement promotion and gender.
At the present time, I plan and conduct of the program which produces a female leader at the student group which belongs to.
It's a Japanese fixed concept, "A man works for Japan outside, and a lady protects a home." is still left as a trend.
We, young people can't change the past, but it's possible to change the future by the hand.
So, I want a female university student to have more confidences and I want them to persevere to want to send oneself.
Japan which is still the unready on the way stage when it's judged from the world while a female achievement and development of legislation are accomplished every year.
If I'm the power of 1 person, the reformation is quite difficult, but I think when it's possible to have an influence even a little by appealing to a female by the various shapes.
