今回は私が、今年の春に国際NGO団体の学生支部として、海外家建設ボランティアのためにスリランカへと訪れた事について執筆させていただきます。
まず、私の所属する国際NGO団体について説明させていただきます。 私の所属している団体は、Eco-Habitat関西学院と言われる学校公認のボランティア団体です。元々は、国際NGO団体Habitat for Humanity と言われる、住居問題を切り口とし、貧困問題解決に国際的に取り組む団体が親団体となっており、私たちはその学生支部として年に２回発展途上国へと赴き家建設活動のお手伝いを主な活動として日々活動しています。
では、実際になぜ今回は、スリランカへ赴いたのか、また、なぜ私たちは家建設を行うのかについて述べたいと思います。
・スリランカへ赴いた理由 スリランカでは1983年～2009年まで26年間に及び、死者約7万人以上の 国内紛争（シンハラ人とタミル人の対立）が行われました。 実際に、この紛争で約２８万人ものタミル人が国内避難民となり、難民キャンプでの生活を余儀なくされています。 私たちは今回、スリランカでの内戦にて家を失った方々のために、家建設活動を行うためにスリランカへと渡航しました。
・なぜ「家」なのか？ 私たちが家建設にこだわる理由は、「家」とは、人間が生きていく上での基盤であると考えているからです。 家族が集う場所、帰るべき場所、唯一の癒しの場所そのすべてが「家」に当てはまると思います。基盤が出来ていないのに、何かを行おうとするとその多くは、失敗してしまうでしょう。このように、私たちは「家」を人間の生活の基盤として考え、その基盤となる家を、 貧困や様々な理由で、安全な家で暮らせない人々のために提供しています。
私は、この活動を通して、家ということの大切さに改めて気づかされました。 日々当たり前のように存在し、当たり前のように帰る「家」ですが、もし家がなかったら、家族がいなかったらと考えると、私は今このようにブログを更新する事すらできないと思います。 また、「普段私たちが当たり前に感じているコト、モノは、貧困を抱えている人々にとっては、当たり前のことではない」ということも改めて認識しました。
残りの大学生活も今の生活に感謝し、これからも学生の立場から貧困問題解決に向けてできることを取り組んでいきたいと考えています。

This time I will write about my visit to Sri Lanka for volunteering overseas houses as a student branch of international NGO organization this spring.
First of all, I will explain the international NGO organization to which I belong. My affiliated organization is a school-approved volunteer organization called Eco-Habitat Kwansei Gakuin. Originally, as an international NGO organization called Habitat for Humanity, organizations that internationally work on solving poverty problems as a part of residential problems are parent organizations, and as a student branch, we have twice a year as a developing country We are going to visit and are working on a daily basis as a main activity to help house construction activities.
So, in fact, I would like to mention why I went to Sri Lanka this time and why we are going to build a house
· Reason for visiting Sri Lanka In Sri Lanka it took 26 years from 1983 to 2009 and more than 70,000 people died Domestic conflict (Sinhalese and Tamil confrontation) was held. In fact, in this conflict, about 280 thousand Tamils have become internally displaced and forced to live in refugee camps. We traveled to Sri Lanka to do house construction activities for those who lost their homes in the civil war in Sri Lanka this time.
· Why "house"? The reason why we stick to building a house is because we believe that "home" is the basis for human beings to live. I think that the place where the family gathers, the place to return home, the only healing place all apply to "house". Many will fail if you try to do something though the foundation is not made. In this way, we consider "home" as the foundation of human life, We provide for people who can not live in a safe house for poverty and
Through this activity, I was once again noticed the importance of home. Although it exists as a matter of course every day, it is a "home" to return as normal, but if I do not have a family, I think that I can not even update my blog like this now if I think that I do not have a family. Also, I realized again that "the people that we normally feel as a matter of course is not a matter for people with poverty".
I would like to thank the rest of my college life for my life and continue working on what I can do to solve poverty problems from a student's standpoint.
