本日は、2022年度小西ゼミ3回生のメンバーをご紹介させていただきます！

③趣味
最近は健康的な料理を食べることにはまっています。色々な料理にお酢をかけたり十六穀米を意識して食べたりしています。
④座右の銘：危機は機会だ
困難にぶつかった時、どんな考えを持つかで、その後の行動も結果も変わってくると私は思っています。私は、事あるごとにこの言葉を実践してきましたが、直近では春学期の学校の課題で四苦八苦していた時にこの言葉の大切さを改めて感じました。
かなり学術的な内容のプレゼンをする機会があり、準備をするのに非常に苦労をしました。周りの人と比較したり、そもそもやる気が湧かなかったり私にとってはかなりの危機でした。
そのような中で「危機は機会だ」という言葉を思い出し、この危機が自分にとって何の機会なのか考えました。
結論から言うと、自分の時間管理能力を向上する機会になりました。課題に苦戦していた理由は、単に内容がハイレベルだからだと元々は考えていました。しかし実際は、時間を上手く使えていなかったことだったと改めて認識し、直すきっかけに変えることが出来ました。
このように、「危機は機会だ」という言葉は日々新しい自分になっていく上で、私にとってとても大切なモットーです。
⑤ゼミを通しての目標
私はこのゼミを通して、多角的な視点を培いたいです。多角的な視点によって、国際協力を含めた政策に対して自身の考えを持ち、自分自身の国際協力への関わり方を模索したいと考えています。
ゼミ活動では、社会で起きている現実を知り、それをどう捉えどんな行動をするのかを実践的に考える機会が多くあります。現在はPCM分析をグループごとに行なっていますが、テーマを決めて話し合って行く過程で、社会のニュースや現象、それに対する政策や影響について調べ、深ぼる力が鍛えられていると感じます。このような周りからの刺激をプラスに変えて多角的な視点を養い、国際協力における自分の可能性を広げていきたいと思います。
⑥研究テーマ
進級論文では、国際協力に興味を持ったきっかけである子ども兵士について研究したいと考えています。2022年になった現在においても子ども兵士の徴集は終わっていません。小柄で動きが俊敏であるため消耗品として戦場の先頭に立たされるケースだけでなく、偵察・料理担当・連絡係・性的奴隷など様々な形で搾取されています。子ども達を徴用しているのは反政府組織の武装グループだけでなく、政府が関わっていることもあるため問題は複雑です。これまで国際組織が問題に取り組んできたのにも関わらず、なぜ子ども兵士の徴用は終わらないのか、また子ども兵士の徴用によって起きるどのような影響に目を向けるべきなのか、基本的なバックグラウンドを知り、研究エリアを絞っていきたいと思っています。卒業論文ではそこから視野を広げて平和学・公共政策学的な観点から研究したいと考えています。

I have been getting into eating healthy meals lately. For example, I usually try to use vinegar in various meals and eat 16-grain rice.
④Motto：Tough times bring opportunity.
I believe our actions and results depend on how we think when we face difficult things to get over. I have put into practice this word many times ever, but I strongly felt the power of the word again when I was struggling with assignments in the spring semester.
I had the opportunity of a high-academic presentation, and preparation for it made me compare myself with people around me and lose confidence. Therefore, that was really “tough times” for me.
However, I remembered the phrase “tough times bring opportunity”, and I thought about what kind of opportunity this tough time was for me.
In conclusion, it was an opportunity to improve my time management skills. At first, I thought that the reason I was struggling with the assignments was simply because the content was too high-level for me. However, in reality, I realized again that I was not using my time well, and I was able to change it into an opportunity to fix my time management skills.
In this way, the phrase “tough times bring opportunity” is a very important motto for me as I become a new me every day.
⑤Goals thorough seminar
I would like to cultivate a multifaceted perspective through this seminar. I would like to have my own thoughts on policies including international cooperation, from a multifaceted perspective, and explore my best way of engaging in international cooperation.
In seminar activities, there are many opportunities to learn about the reality of what is happening in society and think practically about how to perceive it and what actions to take. Currently, we are conducting PCM analysis in groups, but I feel that in the process of deciding on a theme and discussing it, we are honing our ability to investigate social news and phenomena, as well as policies and impacts on them. I would like to use this kind of stimuli from those around me to make me change better , cultivate a multifaceted perspective, and expand my possibilities in international cooperation.
⑥Research Topic
For my promotional thesis, I would like to research child soldiers, which is the reason why I became interested in international cooperation. Even now, in 2022, the recruitment of child soldiers has not ended. Due to their small stature and agility, they are not only used as combatants to take the lead on the battlefield, but they are also exploited in various ways such as scouts, cooks, liaisons, and sexual slaves. The problem is complicated by the fact that children are not only recruited by armed opposition groups, but also by the government. Basic background on why the recruitment of child soldiers has not stopped despite the efforts that have been made by international organizations, and what impacts of the recruitment of child soldiers should be looked at. I would like to know and narrow down my research area. For my graduation thesis, I would like to broaden my horizons and research from the perspective of peace studies and public policy studies.
